Face Skull Illustration Portrait

Every now and again I decide to create one of these ‘Face Skulls’, generally as a portrait of a friend. This time I illustrated Tarryn as a gift for her 30th. This piece was created with pencils and then washed over loosely with ink. I had detailed the hair in pencil and decided I would rather cover with dry brush inking so it looks like strands of hair. This is also the first face skull created with a black background.
The spatters you can see on the lower part of the face are meant to simulate a blady starry night hey.

Created with pencil, indian ink, watercolour ink and acrylic.
